The Australian Book Designers Association (ABDA) have released their Longlist for the 72nd Australian Book Design Awards, and a number of JdM titles are on the list!

The Australian Book Design Awards showcase the best of the best in book design in this country and are open to any book designed and published for the first time in Australia during the open period.

The JdM titles recognised in this year’s awards are;

—A Country of Colour – designer Kristy Lund-White, publisher Affirm Press – Best Designed Children’s category Non-Fiction Book

— Big World, Tiny World: Series – designer Hannah Janzen, publisher Affirm Press – Best Designed Children’s/Young Adult Series Cover category

— Sunshine on Vinegar Street – designer Jessica Cruickshank, publisher Allen & Unwin – Designed Children’s/Young Adult Cover Best category

— Millie Mak the Maker – designer Hazel Lam, publisher Angus & Robertson, an imprint of HarperCollins Australia – also Designed Children’s/Young Adult Cover Best category
