Jess Racklyeft is an accomplished children’s book illustrator, having worked over twenty picture books as well as board books, young adult covers and editorial illustration. Several books have received CBCA Notables and other awards including a recent Indie Book Award longlisting.

Prior to her freelance career, Jess spent almost a decade working in publishing for Lonely Planet and The Five Mile Press. Jess also runs a busy freelance illustration business working for clients across Australia and selling her own paintings and illustrated products.

She works from a busy and wildly messy studio in Melbourne, and if not working on picture books, can be found reading them with her two young children.
