Author Margot McGovern has sold World English-Language rights via her agent Danielle Binks, to Zoe Walton of Penguin Random House Australia for two new stand-alone Young Adult horror novels.

The first of these novels is set to be published next year, and is titled Between Us Girls; a haunted house story with a twist. McGovern describes it as; ‘A love letter to the teen horror boom of the late 90s/early 00s, and to friendships deepened over scary stories shared in the dark.’ A second as-yet-untitled stand-alone YA horror will follow.

Of this exciting deal, McGovern says; ‘A huge thank you to my wonderful agent, Danielle Binks, at JdM Management for championing this story from the start. I’m thrilled to be working with Zoe Walton and Mary Verney (my NEVERLAND dream team) again, and can’t wait to introduce you all to my girls: they’re about to go through hell.’

McGovern first published as a debut YA author with Walton and Penguin back in 2018 with her novel Neverland. She has also been a contributing author to the Wakefield Press YA Anthology edited by Poppy Nwosu, Hometown Haunts: #LoveOzYA horror tales which came out in 2021.

Congratulations to Margot and the PRH-YA team!
