We are absolutely thrilled and delighted to find that Biffy James’s YA fiction debut Completely Normal (and Other Lies) has been shortlisted in the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) 2023 Awards, in the ‘Book of the Year: Older Readers’ category!

The judges said of James’s book; An authentic, sensitive story of love and grief in all types of relationships, and the power of true friendship, and we could not agree more!

We congratulate Biffy and their fabulous publisher – Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing – wholeheartedly, especially Marisa Pintado and Luna Soo who acquired, edited, published and championed this outstanding book, first discovered via the Ampersand Prize!
