We are thrilled and delighted to announce that middle-grade author Fiona Hardy has sold North American and Turkish rights to two of her books!

Hardy’s 2019 MG Affirm Press debut How to Make a Movie in 12 Days and its 2020 sequel How to Write the Soundtrack to Your Life, have both recently sold North American rights to Kane Miller Books! The deal was negotiated by the superb Annabel Barker Agency for publication in 2023.

Meanwhile, How to Make a Movie in 12 Days has also sold Turkish translation rights to Kültür Yayınları İş Türk, in a deal negotiated by the brilliant co-agents at AnatoliaLit

Hardy was the 2021 winner of the Children’s Peace Literature Award for, How To Write The Soundtrack To Your Life. Her novels have gentle mysteries and family complications unravelling alongside powerful stories of young people finding their voice through creative pursuits. We at JdM are delighted to see her beautiful and comforting stories for children being embraced by overseas publishers – and we know the joy they will bring to young, international readers!
