JdM is thrilled to announce that a little while ago, we signed Emma Pignatiello to the agency via agent Danielle Binks, after a literary speed-dating opportunity with CYA Conference.

A little about Emma Pignatiello: she is a high-school English teacher living on the land of the Wadjuk Noongar people in Perth, Western Australia. Her romantic suspense novel Last Shot won the CYA 2022 Competition in the Adult Fiction category, and she was one of the recipients of the 2020 Varuna/Affirm Press Mentorship Award for her YA fantasy novel The Bone Painter. Agent Danielle Binks is excited to be pitching her romantic suspense adult fiction trilogy, which she describes as Downton Abbey meets Dynasty, down under!

To be standing alongside authors and works I love and respect so much at an agency that stands for so much more than just good stories makes all the tears and late nights and “this will never happen’,” truly worth it.
