HarperCollins Children’s Books have acquired World Rights via agents Danielle Binks and Jacinta di Mase, to Shellsville – a humorous contemporary lower-end middle-grade duology for readers aged 8+, and the first foray into KidLit for beloved adult women’s fiction author; Katherine Collette!

Associate publisher, Eve Tonelli says of Collette’s main character; “Alma is the perfect balance of dorky and unsure, mixed with loveable and relatable. I can see young readers connecting with her (and her fabulous dry wit).”

Book 1 is tentatively scheduled for release in October 2024, with the second book to follow in 2025.

Of the deal, Collette says; “I’m THRILLED that this book and its sequel are coming out with Harper Collins and that I get to work with Eve Tonelli. Massive thanks to Danielle and Jacinta at Jacinta di Mase Management—they’re two of the best. It’s a dream outcome!”
