Megan Herbert

Megan Herbert is an award-winning cartoonist, illustrator and writer whose career writing for television and film, cartooning, live-drawing, and creating children’s books has spanned over twenty years.

As well as publishing almost-daily cartoons on social media, she is the newest regular editorial cartoonist for The Age and Sydney Morning Herald newspapers, her work recently earning her the 2022 Kennedy Award for outstanding political cartoon.

Her climate change kids’ book, The Tantrum That Saved The World, was released in March 2022 (North Atlantic Books / PRH) and was awarded the American Meteorological Society’s Louis J. Battan Award for best children’s book, K-12, and a Moonbeam Award for best environmental kids’ books.

After 13 years living abroad (in the UK, Iceland, and the Netherlands), she returned in 2020 to live on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
