Maree (Ree) Kimberley is a writer from Brisbane whose curiosity about neuroscience inspired her to complete a PhD on posthumanism in young adult fiction. She has published more than 20 short stories for young adults and adults as well as non-fiction and academic articles.

Ree enjoys weaving the weird, wonderful and strange into her work, and especially loves writing about Australia’s beautiful and dangerous landscapes.

In her spare time Ree learns French and one day she’d like to live in a French castle, even if only for a little while.

Her YA novel Dirt Circus League will be released with Text Publishing in 2020.
