Carly Findlay is a Melbourne writer, blogger, public speaker and teacher. She’s written for a range of websites including ABC’s Ramp Up, The Guardian, DiVine, Mamamia, The Hoopla and News Limited. She has recently completed her Master of Communication, majoring in journalism and new media, and was also contributor to Tara Moss’s Speaking Out: A 21st-Century Handbook for Women and Girls, as well as Rebecca Sparrow’s Ask Me Anything: (Heartfelt Answers to 65 Anonymous Questions from Teenage Girls).
Carly was named as one of Australia’s most influential women in the Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards for 2014. She received the 2010 and 2013 Yooralla Media Awards for Best Online Commentary for her body of work on disability-focused writing.
