Bestselling US author Paullina Simons has signed with Melbourne agency, Jacinta di Mase Management to represent her new works in the United Kingdom and Australia/New Zealand, with Danielle Binks acting as lead agent.

Paullina Simons is the author of fifteen internationally best-selling novels, including her widely beloved debut Tully and The Bronze Horseman, a historical love story that began the internationally best-selling Bronze Horseman Saga. Her books have sold over 15 million copies in 30 countries and have been translated into 20 languages.

On looking for an Australian agent to help secure her a new ANZ and UK publishing home, Simons says; ‘I’m thrilled to be partnering with Jacinta di Mase Management to explore exciting new opportunities for my books in Australia and Aotearoa (New Zealand). JDM has a reputation for excellence that reached me all the way in America. Besides their remarkable knowledge of, and experience with the ANZ publishing world, I have seldom spoken to agents who knew, understood, and had as much passion for my work as Jacinta and Danielle. I look forward to a long and rewarding association.’

The first of Simons’ titles that Binks will be pitching is; Light at Lavelle – the impossible love story of Finn and Isabelle, set during the Great Depression in the U.S. and Holodomor (or Terror-Famine) in the Ukraine … When your world falls apart, love can be the greatest danger of all.

The Australian and New Zealand markets have been one of Simons’ greatest success stories in her career, and where she has sold over one-million copies of her books since she was first published here in 1994 with her debut, Tully. Simons’ popularity amongst Australian and New Zealand audiences was further fortified earlier in 2022, when she inked a deal with Australian production company Horizon Films to option the rights to Eleven Hours, a thriller about a pregnant woman who gets abducted from a shopping mall three weeks before giving birth.

Born and raised in the former Soviet Union, Paullina immigrated with her family to the United States in the mid-seventies. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Kansas University. She has lived in Rome, London, Dallas, and now makes her home in New York with her husband and four children. As a novelist, Paullina is best known for her epic stories and complex female protagonists. She has written beloved coming-of-age tales, as well as mysteries, thrillers, love stories, and contemporary and historical dramas.
