Yannick Thoraval is a writer, teacher and freelance communications consultant.
He holds a PhD in creative writing and teaches professional writing at RMIT University in Melbourne.
Yannick has written two novels and has published non-fiction work in publications such as the Financial Review, The Australian, The Big Issue and the Huffington Post.
His first novel, The Current, was commended in the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for an Unpublished Manuscript.
His latest novel, White Foam, was shortlisted for the Richell Prize and highly commended in the Jim Hamilton Award.
Yannick was also the managing editor of Home Truths: An Anthology of Refugee and Migrant Writing.
He worked as a copywriter in marketing and communications, and as a senior communications adviser in the Victorian State Government Department of Premier and Cabinet, Australia.
