Krissy Nicholson

Krissy Nicholson worked with Oxfam for ten years in more than eight countries across Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Initially in Human Resource Management, she moved into the public health field in some of the biggest emergency responses in the last century.

Krissy now works for Plan International as Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Program Manager with a focus on Africa. Her programs operate in schools and communities to combat preventable childhood illnesses such as diarrhoea, to increase access to education, strengthen health and hygiene, and improve the lives of thousands of children and their communities every year.

Krissy also loves romantic comedies, socialising, champagne and chocolate – and she hopes her book which she calls ‘Chick Lit with a Social Conscience’ will raise awareness of important issues globally with a little romance and comedy thrown in for good measure.
